Consulting Services

ICP Consulting Services was created to provide an independent source of education and consultation for the most challenging dimensions of caregiving for long-term care organizations, MRDD, assisted living and correctional facilities.

Our highly skilled, experienced and credentialed consultants offer hands-on education and training programs designed to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of your caregiving and administrative operations.

Our consultant services include: pharmacy consultants, nurse consultants, medical records experts, MDS specialists, certified wound care consultants, continuing education programs and mock surveys.

Pharmacy Consultant Services
Our consultant pharmacists are acknowledged as Fellows in the American Society of Consulting Pharmacists. Our Consulting Pharmacy Technicians are certified through The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.

The pharmacist will consult with facility staff regarding various aspects of the facility’s pharmaceutical program. The pharmacist assists with procedures for accountability of all drug and biologicals; receipt and disposition records of all controlled substances; performance of monthly medication regimen reviews; participates on committees and quality assurance meetings as requested.

Nurse Consultant Services
Our mission is to provide the best possible resident care and safety through quality services and nursing education. ICP’s nurse consultants are available to assist your facility staff in meeting the needs of their residents.

Each customer is unique in the type of residents residing in their facility, the skill levels of their staff and their own philosophy and mission. We consult with our customers and construct facility specific programming. ICP is a firm believer of individualization; we do not offer pre-packaged consultation. Nurse consultants perform a process review and revision is suggested with periodic follow-up consultations.

Continuing Education
Continuing education in nursing consists of planned, organized learning experiences designed to augment the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of nurses. It enhances nursing practice, education, administration, and research to improve healthcare across the continuum. ICP’s continuing education programs are designed to assist nurses in acquiring and updating knowledge and skill. Our continuing education programs promote and support innovation and creativity in health care.

In-service Education
In-service education consists of planned instruction or training programs to assist with staff training in the work setting. Programs are designed to maintain or increase competency, promote compliance with institutional policies and procedures, demonstrate new equipment, explain procedures, and practice previously
learned skills.
